It may be April but it’s still winter on Scotland’s highest mountains. With a perfect weather forecast three of us set off to climb Good Friday Climb, one of the highest climbs in the country that only starts at 1,200m and finishes right on the summit of Ben Nevis.
It was a long day out, 11 hours on the hill, but well worth it. Iain rediscovered his love of winter climbing and David remembered that he hates climbing steep ice! We all had a go at leading and topped out to glorious sunshine on the summit plateau.
Fingers crossed it might not be the last winter climb of the 2021/22 season….
