Friday 25 – Sunday 27 April 2025
A weekend trip to Inver Croft has yet to disappoint after a handful of stays, being easily accessible, handily situated and full of rustic charm. Lena, Lesley and myself headed up early on the Friday and took in Ben Wyvis on a lovely afternoon, arriving tired out after an arduous descent.

Saturday saw a 6 strong group cycle into the wilds near Ben Dronaig Lodge for Lurg Mhòr and Cheesecake whilst Ed, Moritz and our 2 newbies, Lou and Carlin headed for Beinn Liath Mhor and Sgurr Ruadh from Achnashellach. Meantime, Andrew and Berenice were in the middle of things with excellent views from the Corbett, Sgurr na Feartaig. Lena, Lesley and I cycled / ran into Gleann na Muice from Incheril with Lena grabbing 2 Fisherfield Munros. Lesley and I took early exits and ventured for pizza and coffee at Kinlochewe.
Back at the hut the party enjoyed Iain’s signature “else prepared” vegan sausage casserole, a toast and birthday cake for Andrew followed by my home grown crumble.
Sunday’s weather didn’t seem as bad as forecast but most folk headed further east for climbing near Cullen, Marilyn bagging in Moray and a run from the A9, leaving a hardier band to head up Moruisg. Til next time …
