Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd January 2011
This was quite a mixed weekend! Allan and Pete did a 27km hike taking in Monadh Mor and Sgor Gaoith from Glen Feshie – a stunning sunny winter’s day. They stopped for a short break on our way up Monadh Mor and dug (ok, rested in!) a snow cave.
Meanwhile Andrew and Jim went ski touring above the northern corries, and others went walking and snowshoeing up Cairn Gorm. On Saturday night we all had a burns supper (followed by lots of cake!) back at at Nethy Station.
On Sunday we had a fairly relaxed day with most folk climbing Meall a Bhuachaille via Ryvoan Bothy whilst others enjoyed some downhill skiing at the Cairngorm ski centre.
