Achnashellach (Nov 2022)

Friday 4 – Sunday 6 November 2022

Not wishing to gloat, or make the the people who couldn’t attend feel bad, but you missed an absolute treat ๐Ÿ™‚ Inver Croft is one of my favourite huts, an old croft in a wild setting, seemingly in the middle of a bog, surrounded by rough mountains, but cozy inside with a classic mountaineering character. We weren’t sure which summits to tackle, even as we headed into the Lair, but the weather turned out fine – the waterproof trousers remained in the bag! – so the two Munros Sgorr Ruadh and Beinn Liath Mhor were added to the bag. Follow the link to the photo album to see some of the stunning views and happy faces. A hearty evening meal by the fire was finished with sparklers and toasted marshmallows, and maybe a bottle or five of whisky. Just to clear up any confusion – DMC doesn’t stand for Duvet Mattress Club, so don’t forget your sleeping bag for the mountain huts ๐Ÿ˜‰
