6 DMC members took part in an amazing 2-week trip to the Alps. Highlights included:-
La Luette (F, 3,548m) from the Dix hut
Mont Blanc de Cheilon (PD, 3,870m) from the Dix hut then return to Arolla valley
Pigne d’ Arolla (F, 3,796m) traverse from the Dix to Vignettes huts and return to Arolla
Tete Blanche (F, 3,429m) from the Bertol hut then return to Arolla
Via Ferrata at Plateau d’assy (near Chamonix)
Gran Paradiso (PD, 4,061m) from the Vittorio Emanuele II hut then return to Pont
Climb to the Gonella Hut (3071m) from Val Veny
Via Ferrata at Val Veny
Herculean consumption of pizza, tartiflettes, red wine and interesting beers…
