Another nice summery day, so Jon, Hazel and Hana headed to Ben Lawers for some summery hillwalking. The works to move the car park there were halfway through and where the old visitor centre & car park used to be was now just a big field of peat bog, and the new car park opposite wasn’t yet open either, so a bit of fun was had finding somewhere to park, and then finding where the path now starts (slightly further down the road than before) as it seemed obvious that nobody wanted us wading through the peat bog they were trying to restore!
The weather stayed sunny all day although there was a bit of a haze which restricted the views a little. It was amazingly warm for the time of year – or for any time of year infact – so warm that when we came back down that we were able to sit by Loch Tay at Kenmore in our T-shirts enjoying some ice cream!
