It was another fantastic year at the Dundee Mountain Film Festival, where lovers of the great outdoors could mingle, check out the stands and be inspired by some amazing adventure films from around the world. DMC had a vibrant presence at the festival through our double stand, manned by members throughout the weekend to chat to visitors.

Part of our stand included a screen showing slideshows of past adventures and escapades, which attracted many passers-by. The Extreme Ironing Challenge on Loch Etchachan is still a firm favourite, and started many a conversation with visitors!

We are always proud to support DMFF, but this year was a special occasion for us…. For the first time Dundee Mountain Club were not only sponsoring a film – we were supplying it too! Last year, Vice President Dave Matthews filmed members Dom Williams and Amy Gilligan on their epic challenge to complete all 14 East Mounth Munros in 24 hours.

It was fantastic to see this local achievement sitting alongside films of feats from around the world.
