A deceivingly sunny day saw Alex and Niall up in Glen Clova with their bikes, cycling into a some fierce headwinds to the footbridge. At this point they headed up over towards Loch Muick, before heading up Broad Cairn with the intention of a singletrack plateau ride over to Lochnagar.
High winds forced them down to Dubh Loch, though, and a technical singletrack descent to Loch Muick, most of which was spent most riding their tyre sidewalls, as it wasn’t the flattest of trails.
A spin around the loch saw them climbing back up the Capel Mounth before bombing back down to Glen Clova, truly shattered, with Alex disproportionately grateful for Niall’s bottomless bag of jelly babies. Thank God for sugar….
