With the dry weather and the long evenings, four of us decided on an outing to Kirriemuir. Under the watchful eyes of Hedda and Rich and encouraged by general gentle leg-pulling, Yasmin got her first taste of climbing outdoors (woohoo!). After a gentle warm-up on Screwless (3) and a somewhat altered Kirrie on Regardless (3) (looking at you, Yasmin), we graduated to Spent (6a) – which I actually managed to climb with advice from Rich and only a minimal amount of swearing on my part. Finishing up on Ruthosaurus (3c) brought the evening to an end before it even got dark. Outdoor climbing on a week night after work – we are so lucky!
